Orchestra, Inc. released it’s revolutionary email client (and updated it for iOS 7) that promises to change the way people interact with email. The designers of the app say that “Mailbox is a completely redesigned inbox that makes email light, fast, and mobile-friendly.” The concept behind it is to help you organize your email in such a way that you can get to zero messages in your inbox on a regular basis knowing that when you need to respond to an email it will remind you. They have integrated a task list and snooze feature that handles this for you. Through a simple and elegant user interface all you need to do is swipe to archive, delete, or snooze. Orchestra says, “It’s a new way of looking at your email, but when you use Mailbox for the first time, we believe you’ll say ‘of course.'” The app is designed for iOS 7 and has a clean, flat look and feel to it. The best part…it’s FREE!
There have been many attempts at changing how we process email and Orchestra has taken a huge step forward in this area. I have been using the Mailbox App since it was released and I really like it. It is the easiest way to manage emails, especially if you get a lot of emails every day. I love the ability to make emails disappear until I need to look at them or until I have time to look at them. There is also a cool feature where you can shake to undo which allows you to pull the last email from wherever you just put it (trash, archive, list, etc).
The app currently only works with gmail accounts but the developers hope to add additional clients soon. Mailbox works on iPhone, iPad (Mini), and iPod Touch and has recently been updated to take advantage of iOS 7 features. Follow this link to get the free Mailbox app now: Mailbox App
