This article will show you how to create folders for iCloud documents in iOS 7 for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
Apple’s introduction of iCloud opened up the possibility for syncing documents between different iOS devices and the Mac. Storing documents in iCloud is simple with minimal setup required. All you need to do to set up iCloud document storage and syncing is to make sure you are logged in to your iCloud account on your iPad (Air) (Mini), iPhone, iPod Touch and then go to Settings –> iCloud. Be sure that Documents & Data is turned on. This will allow you to both save documents to your free 5GB of iCloud storage as well as to access these files on multiple devices.
Once you are able to save files to your iCloud account, it helps to have a way to organize them. You can create folders in your iCloud account for each app in much the same way that you create folders with your apps. Launch Pages, Numbers, or Keynote and navigate to the main screen that displays all of your files as well as the “Create” button to create new files. If you have more than one file, you can simply tap and hold on the file and the file icons will begin to wiggle. Let go and then tap and drag one file on top of another. This will put both of these files (and any other files you add later) into a new folder. You will be given the option to name the folder as well.
This is a great way to keep all of your files organized using folders in iCloud. These folders will by synced between all your devices that share the same iCloud account including your Mac and iCloud.com.
