This article is about how to pre-order the Apple Watch. There are a couple different ways to get your hands on the Apple Watch (or better yet, to get an Apple Watch on your hand :).
First off, it is important to get an idea of which Apple Watch and which Apple Watch band you want. There are 3 primary styles of the Apple Watch: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. Among these 3 Apple Watch types, there are color options as well: Silver/Aluminum, Black, Yellow Gold or Rose Gold (these last two are only available with Apple Watch Edition). Each of these Apple Watches can then be paired with an Apple Watch Band. There are lots of different options of bands and this is where people will probably have the most difficulty in choosing which one they want. The sport bands offer different bright colors as well as white or black. The other bands range in material, color, and price with different buckle, clasp, or magnet fasteners.
So, with all that said, what is the best way to choose an Apple Watch that will fit you? And how do you pre-order an Apple Watch? The best way is to go to the Apple Store App on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch (Link here: Apple Store App). From there, you can see all of the different Apple Watch and Apple Watch Band options as well as pricing for each (ranging from $349 to $17,000). To see all the Apple Watches in the Apple Store App, just tap on the Featured Section at the bottom left of the screen. Then, tap on any of the 3 Apple Watch types to view all the options offered with each one as well as pricing.
Once you have selected your Apple Watch of choice, then you will want to make sure you add it to your favorites list. To do this, simply tap on the Apple Watch type and Apple Watch band style in the pricing section of the app. Then, tap the little heart that is in the upper right corner of the screen. This will allow you to find it quickly when it comes time to Pre-order it online. Pre-orders begin right at 12:01am (PT) on April 10th. If you are interested in getting in on the first wave of the watches, it will be best to pre-order right at 12:01am because rumors have it that there will be greater demand for the watch than supply at the beginning (typical of a lot of Apple products).
The only other way you can get an Apple Watch initially, is to order it online through Apple’s website: apple.com. If you plan to pre-order, I highly recommend using the Apple Store App on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch as this app seems to have fewer issues and works faster during the high traffic pre-order times.
If you want to learn more about how the Apple Watch works, the best way to do this is to open the Apple Watch App (this app is also how you will pair your watch to your iPhone when the Apple Watch begins to arrive on April 24). Once you have opened the Apple Watch App on your iPhone, tap on the Explore tab at the bottom. This will give you a list of videos that you can watch to see how the Apple Watch was designed and manufactured as well as how it will work in day to day life.
