1Password is an app that helps you keep track of all of your logins and passwords for all your online accounts. It is available as a universal app for iPhone, iPad (Mini), iPod Touch and as a separate app for Mac and Windows. This is one my top most used apps on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It has significantly reduced my stress level when it comes to trying to remember passwords and logins.

Like most people, I figured I was probably only tracking 20-30 online accounts. When I got 1Password and entered all my accounts into the app, I realized I had over 200 accounts that I was trying to remember usernames and passwords for – that’s stressful. 1Password provides me with the peace of mind knowing that I won’t ever forget a password again.

In addition to keeping track of your online login information, 1Password can also generate highly secure passwords, track an online profile for you that can automatically be entered into a website, secure notes, software keys and registrations, and credit card information. Each of these features can be quickly accessed on any of your devices with just a couple of keystrokes or taps. Here is how it all works.

First, you have the database in the app of all your logins, online profiles, secure notes, software keys, and credit cards. All of this information is password protected behind a master password that you choose. Since it give access to many of your online accounts, be sure the master password is highly secure and that you give it out to no one. The database is encrypted and you can choose to sync the database between devices or just host it on one device. I have chosen to sync my database between my devices and now I couldn’t function online without it.

Next, you have the apps. The iOS apps have a built in full function mobile browser that lets you automatically pull login information and other secure information when you need it. Just load the website and tap two buttons to automatically enter the login information for that particular site. You can also copy the username and password to enter into another app or into a site on your mobile Safari browser. As was mentioned above, you can sync your entire database with other iOS devices, Android devices, and a PC and Mac. This way, any time you update a login or password, all of your devices will automatically be updated with the new information. If you have the app on a PC or Mac, there are plugins that can be installed for Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. These plugins make all of your logins available for each website with just a couple of keystrokes.

Then there is the password generating feature. This feature allows you to generate highly secure passwords up to 50 characters in length including numbers and symbols. If you have an account that needs extra security, you can update your password every 1-3 months and never be worried that you will forget your current password as long as you enter each new password into the 1Password App.

All in all, this app is the very best out there for keeping track of all your online accounts. You will never have to worry about forgetting a login again! The apps are a little spendier than your typical app but it’s better to pay more to ensure the highest security and encryption of online accounts.
