Review: Best Affordable Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Review: Best Affordable Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone, iPad, and iPod TouchThis is a review on some of the best affordable bluetooth headphones for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. These are headphones that I have personally used and continue to use on a daily basis.

When it comes to bluetooth headphones, there are several considerations. First, you want to make sure that they are comfortable. Secondly, you want to make sure they have decent battery life. Third, you want to make sure that the sound quality is good (there are some bluetooth headphones that do not have very good sound quality). And lastly, you want to make sure that bluetooth headphones have easy remote controls for your music and Siri.

After testing a few different pairs of bluetooth headphones (all in the $50 – $70 range) I have selected the LG Tone+ HBS 730 as my top favorite. Here is what I really like about these bluetooth headphones:

1. Amazing Sound Quality

Some bluetooth headphones that I have used have had poor audio quality. You get the advantage of going wireless but sacrifice on audio quality. These LG Tone+ headphones are completely different. They have incredible sound quality and amazing bass. I am always amazed at how good they sound every time I’m listening to music on them. Their marketing materials claim that it is CD quality sound over a bluetooth connection. I would agree with this.

2. Lightweight and Easy to Use

These headphones are extremely lightweight and very easy to use. The headphones are two earbuds that extend up from the remote controls that hang around your neck (almost like an open necklace). There are a full range of controls within easy access of either hand (on/off switch, play/pause music, skip track back/forwards, volume up/down, and a button to answer incoming calls and to activate Siri). The controls are well laid out and intuitive. You can also push both the up and down volume buttons at the same time to activate and disable the bass boost feature. If you get an incoming call, the headset pauses the music automatically and rings/vibrates through the earbuds. A quick push of the button allows you to accept the call and the built-in noise canceling mic lets you have a full conversation without ever pulling out your phone.

Because they are lightweight, they are extremely comfortable. The earbuds sit tightly in the ear without any straps or parts that go over or behind the head. This allows you to lay down easily and rest your head on a pillow or in a hammock without the frame of the headphones getting in the way. I can wear these headphones comfortably all day long.

3. Battery Life and Durability

These bluetooth headphones have great battery life, especially with the small form factor. The headphones allow for up to 15 hours of talk time and up to 10 hours of music listening. The battery easily last several days for me with periodic use.

The headphones are also very durable. The cable/strap that rests around the back of your neck is flexible which prevents it from easily breaking. The earbuds are also durable. I have used my headphones for over a year and they still look and feel great.

There you have it. These are by far my favorite bluetooth headphones and the best ones I have found in the $50-$70 range. You can get these headphones on Amazon for right around $50. Of course, if you want premium sound (at a premium price), you can always purchase either the Bose Noise cancellation headphones or the Beats Noise Cancellation headphones (I have tested both of these in store and they have phenomenal sound). Here are links to these headphones in case you want to go the premium route:
