How to fix broken audio feed for Foscam Baby Monitor App and CameraThis article will show you how to fix a broken audio feed for the Foscam Baby Monitor app and camera. In a recent article I wrote about how you could use your iPhone, iPad (Mini), or iPod touch as the screen for a baby monitor camera using the Foscam Camera (Foscam Camera on Amazon) and the Foscam Pro App. This is an incredible setup for under $100 and allows you to visually and audibly check in on your baby at any point to make sure they are safely sleeping, playing, or napping. Follow this link to read more about how to set this up: Audio-Video Baby Monitor Setup with iPhone, iPad (Mini) and iPod Touch for less than $100.

If you have used this baby monitor setup before, you will know that occasionally, the audio feed for the baby monitor will cut out. When this happens, you can toggle the audio button on and off in the Foscam Pro App to try to get the audio working again. This doesn’t always fix the audio problem. So, here are a couple of steps that will show you how to fix a broken audio feed for the Foscam Baby Monitor app and camera:

1. Toggle the audio off and close the app

Sometimes all you need to do is toggle the audio off and then close the app and reopen it and turn the audio back on. This often does the trick. However, when this doesn’t work, try option 2.

2. Toggle audio off, close the app, and clear the app from the multitasking tray

How to fix broken audio feed for Foscam Baby Monitor App and CameraIf step 1 doesn’t work, then you can take it a step further by toggling the audio off, closing the app, and then clearing it from the multitasking tray. To clear the app from the multitasking tray simply double push the home button from the home screen to reveal the multitasking tray. Locate the Foscam Pro app and tap and hold on it till it starts to shake. You will notice a little red minus sign that appears in the upper left corner of the app. Tap this red minus sign to clear the app from the multitasking tray. Now, reopen the app and toggle the audio back on. It should work this time without a problem.
