How to adjust volume for Maps App Turn-by-turn Directions in iOS 6Thankfully, the upcoming iOS 7 that will be released this Fall includes the volume setting at the bottom right of the turn-by-turn navigation window. You will no longer need to adjust the volume for the Maps App in the Settings App. This will make it much easier to change the volume on the go. You can still change the volume for Maps in the Settings App in iOS 7 which will tell the app what volume setting to launch with by default. One other helpful setting feature for the Maps App in iOS 7 is that you can select whether to have Driving or Walking directions be your Preferred Directions. If you select Walking Directions, then every time you get directions the Maps App will display walking directions by default. The same is true for the Driving Directions. Overall, there are some great improvements to the Maps App in iOS 7.
