With the most recent updates to the iOS App Store, you can now select any app and gift it. Gifting an app is simple – here is how:

1. Open up the App Store app.

2. Locate the app you want to gift and tap on it.

3. Once you tap on the app you want to gift, a little sharing arrow will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. This is where you can gift the app. In the bottom right corner of the sharing icons you will see the gift icon. Tap on this to gift the app. Additionally, you have the option to tell someone about the app by email, text message, Twitter, or by Facebook.

4. Once you tap on the Gift Icon, you will need to enter the recipients email and type in a message if you want. Then you have the option of a theme. Choose the theme, tap Next, and then tap Buy Gift.

That’s it. Now your friend will receive a notice that they have been gifted an app and can simply download it.
